After 30 years in front of the screen, Judy Sheindlin is entering a new chapter from her lavish home in Greenwich, CT.
Judith Sheindlin is ready to pass on her gavel after 30 years of meteing out fiery one-liners as the justice-delivering star of “Judge Judy.”
The 84-year-old TV personality has called her on-camera career a wrap with the Oct. 22 episode of “Judy Justice,” the Amazon Prime Video spinoff series to “Judge Judy,” which aired its finale on July 23, 2021.
But while this might be the end of her show, it's also the start of something new for the beloved star.
“Judge Sheindlin is not retiring,” her representative, Gary Rosen, told the New York Times. “She is rewiring.”
“There are a lot of other things of interest,” Sheindlin told People magazine. “I don’t want to do hair and makeup anymore, but I still want my message to get out there.”
As Sheindlin steps away from her famed bench, she will work as the executive producer for “Adam’s Law,” a syndicated courtroom TV show starring her 58-year-old son, Adam Levy.

“There aren’t a lot of people who can carry a half-hour on their own unscripted,” she said. “He has what it takes.”
Although Sheindlin will likely be kept busy with her continued behind-the-scenes work in the entertainment industry, she has a gorgeous Greenwich, CT, mansion to enjoy as she retreats from the limelight.
Along with her second husband, retired judge Jerry Sheindlin, 92, she purchased the sprawling property in 2007 for $13.2 million, according to the Daily Mail. The couple demolished the original home, rebuilding a nine-bedroom, 16,993-square-foot abode in 2008.
The Sheindlin family’s mansion is certainly idyllic, and even served as the venue for the 2013 wedding of her grandson Casey Barber. Over 150 guests were invited to the property to enjoy a lobster and steak dinner, and a stunning multilevel stone patio was used to hold the ceremony.

In 2025, Sheindlin sold a 10,607-square-foot home in the “exclusive” community of Bay Colony Shores in Naples, FL, for $9.5 million.
The sale came just over a decade after she snapped it up for $8.6 million. At one point, property records indicated Sheindlin had transferred ownership of the home to her son, Levy.
The Sheindlins also previously held a New York City penthouse, located in Midtown East’s Sutton Place. The home was initially listed for $9.5 million in May 2024, with the couple stating they were looking “to simplify.”
The price was slashed by $1 million in June 2025. In November 2025, the four-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom property was listed as temporarily off-market, according to records.
