The "Practical Magic" actress revealed she's secretly held onto an apartment in England for over 20 years.
Actress Nicole Kidman has major plans to spend more time in London moving forward—though, as the “Nine Perfect Strangers” star has revealed, the city has quietly been a part of her life for decades.
Nearly a year after her split from husband Keith Urban, 58, Kidman, 59, let slip to British Vogue that she’s had an apartment near Notting Hill for quite some time.
“I’ve had it for 20 years … 21 actually,” she said.
It marks the first time that the "Moulin Rouge!" actress has confirmed she owns property in London—having already amassed homes in Beverly Hills, CA; New York City; Nashville, TN; and Australia. While all of those properties have appeared in numerous headlines, her U.K. abode has remained surprisingly under the radar.
“I’m stealth,” Kidman shared of her ability to keep the property so tightly under wraps.
Her stealthy skills came in very handy once again during her "Euro summer," during which she has spent time bouncing between London, Ibiza, Paris, and Portofino, leveraging glasses and a “little dark wig” to conceal her identity when the night whisks her away to the club for some raving.
“I’m good at slipping in and slipping out of everywhere,” she joked.

“Like, where am I going?” she mused. “And what’s next?”
A return to London could certainly be on the list of upcoming adventures for Kidman, who hinted that she is eager to return to the city in order to throw herself into the theater scene.
She remarked that she’d “love to” return to the stage in the British capital, with the outlet noting that she does already own the rights to a handful of plays she’d like to add to her extensive repertoire.
Though she did not elaborate any further on those plans, her eagerness to throw herself into the theatrical mix in London was enough for the Vogue writer to note: "But let it be known, London: she’s coming."
The actress certainly seems settled in the city—taking full advantage of London's thriving theatre industry, alongside her lookalike daughters, Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15. She explained that the trio has recently crossed a handful of must-see productions off their bucket list in the city’s theatre scene. Recent favorites include “1536,” “The Guilty,” and “The Oresteia.”
Sunday and Faith have also happily been exploring London by themselves; while Kidman completed her cover story interview, her girls—who have become fashion icons in their own right—visited a Schiaparelli exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Indeed, the family has had ample time to embrace a European lifestyle in the past 12 months.
Last year, the “Practical Magic” star spent the entire summer in London, shooting the highly anticipated sequel to the iconic film alongside co-star Sandra Bullock. Although the romantic fantasy film takes place in idyllic New England, filming took the cast and crew abroad, and the on-screen sisters spent their spare time making memories in the surrounding areas.

(Hulton Archive) Kidman and Bullock, who are both parents to teens, attended iconic music festival Glastonbury, the Wimbledon tennis tournament, and even a Coldplay concert together.
According to Bullock, the process marked the first time in "decades" that the two women had spent real time together, and both noted that it was a fulfilling experience getting the chance to bring their families together.
Kidman's co-star also opened up about the unique dynamic that exists between the two women, explaining that, though they have incredibly different personalities, their is a bond between them that is very much like that of sisters.
“Nic and I are very different,” the “Miss Congeniality” star divulged to British Vogue. “But our differences create the most fabulous dynamic. Whether we are fighting or loving on each other, we need each other.”
Kidman isn’t the only actor from the iconic witchy film who has decided to lay down roots in the U.K. In 2019, Stockard Channing traded a life in Maine for a change of scenery in London, following the 2014 passing of husband Daniel Gillham.
“The pattern of my life shifted, so I shifted my life from Maine,” Channing explained in a personal essay for The Sunday Times, noting a “lag effect” that resulted in a later realization of just how impactful the loss had been. “I’ve lived alone since I lost Daniel and I’m happy being a recluse.”
The actress will return to the role of Aunt Frances in “Practical Magic 2,” which will premiere on Sept. 11. The cast includes a few new faces, such as Joey King, Lee Pace, and Maisie Williams, but may be the last time Channing graces the screen.
“I’m not sure I’ll do anything after that,” Channing added. “Acting is like everything in life; you never know what’s going to happen.”
As for Kidman, she's showing no signs of slowing down, either personally or professionally, admitting to Vogue that she has been a workaholic since she was just 14 years old and living in Australia.
"I just think there are some people who are wired to work. I just am," she said, adding: "It’s probably from having started work when I was 14."

(Google Maps) The actress is understood to travel regularly back to her home country, where she and Urban owned a home together—however, her primary residence is located in Nashville, where she lives with her two teenage daughters.
According to reports, the actress has continued to live in her former marital abode in the wake of her divorce, with sources telling the New York Post in October 2025 that the property was providing Kidman and her daughters with some much needed stability during a time of great upheaval.
"I’m not sure that Nicole will want to remain in Tennessee full time after her children go off to college," the unnamed source said. "But for now, the home will be a source of stability for them while navigating this separation."
Though they bought their property in Nashville for the comparatively low sum of $3.47 million, they are said to have invested plenty of money into turning the palatial dwelling into their dream home.
Kidman and Urban purchased the sprawling estate—which included two adjacent parcels of land—in 2008, according to records, having relocated their family to Nashville the previous year.
Located inside a gated community in Northumberland, the property, which is known as the "Queen of Northumberland," boasts 2 acres, part of which is occupied by a dazzling swimming pool and a large professional tennis court.
The main residence on the property features seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, providing more than enough space for Kidman and her daughters.
Other amenities inside the home include a theater, elegant living spaces, and even a "hobby room."
Interestingly, reports about the breakdown of the couple's marriage came just two months after it was revealed that Kidman was eyeing up property in another European locale: Portugal.
According to local media outlet SIC Notícias, the "Practical Magic" star submitted her application to the country’s Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum in July 2025, with sources telling the publication that she had been looking for a dwelling in the European country for some time.
