Over a year after the $1.5 million sale of the family's Coyote Pass property, Kody and Robyn Brown have left the "Sister Wives" cast.
After 16 years of sharing their once-plural marriage with viewers on “Sister Wives,” Kody Brown and Robyn Brown will not be returning to the show.
The news was announced in a trailer for Season 21 of the series, which finds remaining cast members and former wives Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown navigating life post-polygamy and in the aftermath of the sale of Coyote Pass, a Flagstaff, AZ, plot of land the family had planned to build a compound on.
“I don’t know how to process it all, I’m just going to be honest,” Christine said in the preview.
“I was flabbergasted, really, when I got the news,” Janelle added.
It appears that more than a year after the $1.5 million sale of the shared 14-acre property, the drama surrounding the transaction continues to affect the women.

Meri explained she does not “want to be in some ex-wives club” with Janelle and Christine, adding that when it comes to the sour feelings surrounding the land deal, she doesn’t “understand any of it.”
The land—which was purchased by Kody and all four of his then-partners for $820,000 in 2018—was originally intended to be divided and used to build four houses, one for each wife and her respective children.
The plans dissolved in 2021, after Christine, Janelle, and Meri chose to leave the relationship.

Although the sale was over a year ago, fallout from the ongoing drama continues to affect the women. (YouTube/TLC) Christine was the first to depart, selling her portion of Coyote Pass back to Kody in a 2022 private deal for just $10. At that point, Kody and Robyn owned 50% of the property, leaving Meri and Janelle with 25% each.
Following the 2025 sale, The U.S. Sun reported that Kody, Robyn, Janelle, and Meri each walked away with $375,000.
The even split was a conclusion that took some time to arrive at, with Kody even admitting to entertaining thoughts of leaving Janelle out of the proceeds before Robyn convinced him otherwise.
“She doesn’t trust me because she would screw me if she could. That’s what I believe. And I’ll be honest, I’ve thought about screwing her,” Kody shared in a previous episode. “But I won’t. My wife with a conscience won’t let me.”
At one point, Janelle and Meri hired lawyers to step in in the event that the sale was handled unfairly.

(Ethan Miller/Getty Images for AEG Live) In a 2025 “Sister Wives” episode in which Kody tells Robyn that they had finally found a buyer for Coyote Pass, she opened up about her complicated feelings toward the property.
“It’s really hard for me when I think of Coyote Pass in terms of what the original intention was,” Robyn said. “Our plan was just really making it this special place for our kids to come home and to finish out our lives with.
“If I think about it from that perspective, it breaks my heart,” she continued. “But if I think about it from the perspective of what’s really happening right now, I’m like, OK, we’ve just got to do this.”
Currently, Kody and Robyn continue to reside in Flagstaff.
Christine remarried in 2023 and now lives in Utah with her husband, David Woolley.

“My goal is to find where I’m going to be for the rest of my life,” Meri shared in the trailer. “And check out different men while I’m at it.”
In 2024, Janelle moved to Chocowinity, NC, where she built her dream home on Taeda Farms, a 156-acre flower farm she operates with her daughter, Madison Brown Bush.
Janelle opened up about the “healing” process of decorating the home in a blog post.
“What’s made this process especially meaningful is how much of my life has found its way into the design,” she wrote.
“This house isn’t tied to one place or one era, but it’s a collection of everywhere I’ve been and everything I’ve learned along the way,” the post continued. “Each room carries a little history, a little memory, a little ‘oh yeah, that’s why I love that.’”
Janelle went on to explain that she opted for “wide open spaces and practical layouts,” as well as “warm textures and natural materials” that remind her to slow down in life.
“And there’s light, lots of it, because I’ve learned how important it is to let light in, both literally and figuratively,” she wrote.
