"I practiced law before I got into real estate," Black says. "I liked the sales aspect, and I liked the idea of kind of eat what you kill and you work as hard as you can, and you see the reward from that. But it was very, very scary to me to go to something where there's no salary, no benefits."
That leap paid off. With billions in career sales, Black—who leads the Noble Black & Partners Team at the Corcoran Group—has consistently ranked among the nation's elite brokers while representing signature residences across Manhattan. His legal background continues to anchor his business philosophy.
"We're in a profession where a lot of people are not that professional," he explains. "I approach it like a law firm in the sense of, 'Look, we're not infallible.' But we very much want to follow through and do what we're telling clients that we want to do. We want to over-communicate about what we're doing. Everything should be done correctly."
