EXCLUSIVE: NBA Star Dwight Howard Relists 12-Bedroom Georgia Megamansion With More Than $3 Million Price Hike

The 40-year-old basketball legend has relisted his longtime Suwanee, GA, mansion for $14.5 million, marking a $3.25 million increase.

Former NBA superstar Dwight Howard is once again attempting to part ways with his sprawling Georgia estate—but this time, he is seeking millions more for the palatial property.

The 40-year-old basketball legend has relisted his longtime Suwanee, GA, mansion for $14.5 million, marking a staggering $3.25 million increase from the $11.25 million price tag he attached to the home when he first put it up for sale in January 2025.

Howard purchased the enormous estate for $8.8 million in 2016, the same year he signed with his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks.

A decade later, the eight-time NBA All-Star is hoping to score a sizable profit on the property, with his latest asking price coming in $5.7 million above what he originally paid for the spread.

The newly relisted home, which is represented by Maninga Capehart of HomeSmart, sits on approximately 14 acres and offers 12 bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms, and nine half-bathrooms.

Built in 2010, the European-inspired residence boasts approximately 26,233 square feet of living space, providing no shortage of room for both overnight guests and lavish entertaining.

Indeed, the listing touts the property as one of Georgia's "most distinguished private estates," pointing to its impressive scale, elaborate architecture, and lengthy list of resort-worthy amenities.

Guests enter the mansion through custom double doors that open into a soaring two-story foyer, where a dual staircase, crystal chandelier, hardwood floors, and intricate millwork set an opulent tone.

From there, the home offers an array of formal and informal living areas, including a grand salon and formal dining room, as well as a glass atrium that floods the interiors with natural light.

Entertaining appears to have been a major consideration throughout the home's design, particularly when it comes to food preparation.

In addition to the main chef's kitchen, which is fitted with Viking appliances, there is a separate catering kitchen, a hidden pantry, a walk-in butler's pantry, multiple bars, and several service areas.

The main-level primary suite is equally extravagant, with a private executive office and enormous dressing areas lined with custom cabinetry. Its spa-like bathroom adds a sunken soaking tub, steam shower, and dedicated makeup vanity.

The home's additional bedroom suites are spread across the upper level and feature en-suite bathrooms and custom closets, with some offering steam showers and access to private balconies.

A separate multiroom residential suite also comes with its own kitchen and two bathrooms, providing a self-contained living space for family members or overnight visitors.

However, the property isn't solely focused on its sleeping quarters.

One entire level has been transformed into what the listing calls an "entertainment and wellness destination," complete with a private movie theater and kitchenette, billiards and recreation lounge, game and podcast space, and another full kitchen.

There's even a salon and barber area, sauna, and additional bedroom suite on the same level.

Howard won't need to leave the grounds to squeeze in a workout either. A separate two-story fitness and recreation pavilion has its own kitchen and bathroom, allowing the building to double as another space for gatherings.

The sprawling outdoor areas are equally geared toward leisure, with a saltwater swimming pool overlooked by a fully equipped outdoor kitchen.

The 14-acre grounds also include landscaped gardens and an orchard growing blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, and figs, while a private drive winds toward the property's lake.

Car enthusiasts, meanwhile, have an enormous amount of space to house their collections.

Although the property's main details advertise a six-car garage, the full listing reveals additional vehicle storage, including a six-car motor court and another six-car lower-level garage.

The garage areas also conceal much more than parking.

Above them sit two separate guest accommodations: a two-bedroom residence with its own kitchen and living and dining areas, and a studio residence equipped with a kitchenette and bathroom.

Perhaps one of the estate's more unexpected features is an underground passage connecting different portions of the property, while an elevator inside the main house provides access to every level.

Howard's ties to Georgia stretch back long before his purchase of the mansion. The Atlanta native attended Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy before jumping directly from high school to the NBA.

He was selected by the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft and spent eight seasons with the franchise before embarking on stints with multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, and Philadelphia 76ers.

Howard ultimately captured an NBA championship with the Lakers in 2020.

Now, a decade after purchasing his supersized Georgia spread, Howard is once again looking for someone to take it off his hands—albeit at a considerably higher price than when he first tried to sell.
