Professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau is transforming the backyard of his custom $10 million Texas mansion into his very own tournament venue—inviting 10 golfers to battle it out on his property for a shot at a $100,000 prize.
The 33-year-old two-time U.S. Open champion unveiled his latest social media venture, dubbed "Bryson's Backyard Games," after teasing fans with a cryptic message that he was "coming home."
While the announcement initially sparked speculation about what "home" might mean for DeChambeau's professional golf career, the athlete was being quite literal: His sprawling Texas estate will serve as the setting for the competition.
The tournament will see 10 golfers—including popular golf content creators Grant Horvat, Brad Dalke, and brothers George and Wesley Bryan—compete in a series of one-hole elimination matches in DeChambeau's backyard.
The competition will unfold over 10 days, with the last golfer standing earning the opportunity to take on DeChambeau himself in a three-hole showdown for $100,000.

However, if the professional golfer comes out on top, he has pledged to give the money to one of his social media followers.
The first Backyard Games matchup kicked off on Sept. 22, while the final showdown against DeChambeau is scheduled for Sept. 30.
His enormous backyard is particularly well suited to the unusual competition, boasting multiple custom green complexes that allow the golfers to take on a variety of routes around the property.
It is far from the first time DeChambeau has turned his home into a stage for his viral golf content.
In late 2024, he documented his attempts to hit a hole-in-one over his mansion and onto the private green behind it.
The challenge saw DeChambeau standing outside the front of the property and launching balls over the home, giving himself an additional attempt with each passing day.
He finally accomplished the feat on Day 16, sinking the shot on his 14th attempt and celebrating wildly after the ball dropped into the hole.
The golfer later brought another challenge inside the mansion in 2025, when he spent 12 days attempting to hit a ping-pong ball from his living room into a tiny cup positioned on the upper level.
Both stunts offered fans rare glimpses of the lavish custom home, which features an ultramodern design, enormous walls of glass, hardwood floors, and a sprawling open-concept living space with soaring double-height ceilings.

(TikTok) DeChambeau is thought to have purchased the parcel of land on which his palatial abode now sits in 2019, after it had been listed for $850,000. However, Realtor.com® now estimates that the enormous mansion he has built on the 2.5-acre property is worth upward of $10 million.
In a January 2024 interview with the LIV Golf website, DeChambeau revealed that construction on the property started in 2020, noting at the time that he'd had to be incredibly "patient" throughout the homebuilding process because he wanted to ensure that the dwelling was exactly tailored to his specifications.
"People don’t think I’m patient. There’s a reason I’m patient in some areas and others not so much," he said. This "wasn’t just a stock spec home. It takes a while to get things done correctly."
It's unclear exactly when the custom mansion was completed. However, it made its first appearance on the golfer's social media accounts toward the end of 2024—the same year that he sold his other Texas dwelling, which was located in nearby Dallas.
That property came with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms spread across more than 5,300 square feet of living space.
The home, which was built in 2018, the same year that DeChambeau purchased it for an undisclosed amount, came with a number of impressive amenities, including a golf simulator, pool table, and several large TVs.
It also offered a living area with a fireplace, alongside a kitchen with new cabinets and hardware, stainless-steel appliances, and a large prep island.
Outside, the property boasted a covered kitchen, lots of room to lounge and entertain, a pool and spa, a fireplace, and a fire pit.

Because Texas is a nondisclosure state, the final sale price has not been publicly revealed.
Although he was born and raised in California, DeChambeau has been based in Texas since his college years, having played golf for the Southern Methodist University Mustangs for three years before starting his professional career.
He has remained in the Dallas area ever since.
According to Forbes, DeChambeau's net worth is estimated at around $44 million, bolstered largely by his nine-figure LIV Golf contract, which he signed four years ago.
In 2025, the outlet ranked him as the eighth highest-paid golfer in the world, and the 20th highest-paid athlete in the world, reporting that he earned a staggering $560,000 from his first LIV Golf event alone.
The Backyard Games further cement the property as something of a headquarters for DeChambeau's booming online presence.
The pro golfer has amassed millions of followers across social media while increasingly embracing his role as a content creator, previously revealing that expanding his YouTube channel was a major part of his plans for the future.
Earlier this year, DeChambeau said he wanted to grow his YouTube audience significantly and expand his videos into multiple languages.
Now, rather than simply filming another trick shot at his Texas mansion, he's turning the property itself into the golf course.
